A massive thank you to everyone who came to see us at Buckfest on 15th July. Cambridgeshire's best music festival. We were delighted to be selected as a charity partner and loved doing our bike and Wheel of Fortune challenges on the day. We raised £350 at our stand and await the final total for funds raised for charity from the whole event. The event is run by a dedicated bunch of music loving volunteers and their energy and commitment is impressive. Thanks Buckfest and all who have supported us to make the launch of Tommy's Wheels (and legs) campaigns possible.

Tommy's Wheels has been chosen as a charity partner for this year's epic day festival that is Buckfest!!! Tickets are now sold out so if you want to come, you could come and volunteer selling wristbands and programmes for Tommy's Wheels and our fellow charity The Acorn Cancer Support Group. Get in touch with Katherine if you're interested, thanks.
We are delighted to announce that with a little help from Tommy's friends, we have raised £500 to start the Tommy's Wheels charity account. Our garden party launch saw a crowd of friends, neighbors and a few interested parties from afar. Multiple burgers, steak ciabatta and scones were consumed, much alcohol drunk and a lot of umbrellas used.
Not bad for a Sunday party with a lot of showers. Thank you. x Next stop £1000 - thinking about a fireworks party and bottle raffle. |
AuthorTommy's Wheels is a small charity set up to help Tommy Laws, a recent double leg amputee from Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire, with the things that will help keep him moving and enjoying life to the full. In time we hope to be able to help other amputees. Archives
